I found tonight’s episode not really living up to all the hype….those darn preview commercials….but still a couple of unexpected surprises. Well…sort of.
Relationships and sex…that’s the gist of it.
How scary is it to be a teenager’s mom - it’s terrifying! Porter thinks he’s in a ‘relationship’ and is in ‘love’. Really? Have you ever noticed how it’s the boys that find their best friend’s mom ‘hot’? How come girls don’t find their best friend’s dad ‘hot’? Is that wrong, does that make her a terribly trashy teenage tart? I don’t know. I’m just saying….maybe girls are smarter than boys at that age. But Anne (Gail O’Grady), the mama, who is being boinked by Porter, the boy, is about to become a mama again. Oy! I’m not sure where this storyline is going to go but I’m not finding it very appealing. But damn, Lynette, I wish I had your balls! I would not want to mess with you - way to slam Anne into the bathroom wall! Oh…and I felt that slap across the face! I think I’ll skip my next PTA meeting.
Speaking of boinking…sex music and braised beef! How can that not get a girl all hot and bothered? If a man can cook, you should automatically be turned on! Apparently, it did nothing for Suzy Poo. Oh Jackson, she walked out on you, I warned you. You can do so much better than Susan! I repeat - run!!! But it’s ok for her to use the excuse of being ‘tipsy’ to break the 4 date rule? Way to go Jackson for turning her down because we all know she was more than just a little tipsy…phtttt!!! What’s that saying? What’s good for the goose is good for the gander….something like that.
It was obvious that Mike was going to hook up with Katherine but does she honestly believe that what she has with him is a ‘relationship’? Sex, does not, a relationship make. She’s been alone for 5 years, sexless for 2 years and let’s face it girls, Mike, is not too shabby. It’s a relationship all right, just not the kind she’s trying to convince herself it is. That’s OK Katherine, you’re allowed. Enjoy, have fun, play safe. I’m with Andrew though, I wouldn’t want to eat anything that comes out of that kitchen either…burn those oven mitts!
Gabi….she’s baaaaack….but her actions may be her downfall.
Finally, I’m still loving Lily Tomlin as Karen’s ‘pseudo sleuth with an attitude’ sister. My favorite line in tonight’s episode: “Miss Marple, with a bum liver”. Hope she sticks around for a few more episodes!
